Face Work

This is a still life image I did of a mask I was playing around with. I would use a mask you buy at any store, easier to find around Halloween. Fill it with plaster then once dry carve in to the plaster any thing I would like. I have a mask that I painted which is the first one I ever worked on. I will have to post a photo if I can locate the mask. Give it a try let the imagination run wild.

Panic On The Streets Of Ferndale! @ The Magic Bag

Panic on the Streets of Ferndale! The Smiths United with special guest FUR, Telecollision, and DJ’s Mikey and Zumby from Strangeways Radio all in one place at The Magic Bag in Ferndale, MI.

Another great show from The Smiths United as I do photography for them the shows keep growing. Chris the lead singer of The Smiths United mentioned that it has been one year for the group and they made it to The Magic Bag in Ferndale, MI as a headliner. Now they are setting the bar higher and stronger for their second year and from the showing of the crowd they are on their way.

Strangeways Radio has been teaming up with The Smiths United for most shows. Take the time to take a look at their Facebook page. Don’t forget to jump over to the website as well for much more http://www.strangewaysradio.com.

The opening bands also added to the great night starting off with Telecollision as they played the crowd began to grow then FUR went on The Magic Bag was filling up as more people make their way to the front. Then The Smiths United took to the stage which brought everyone to the front of the stage.

Well here are some photos from the night more to come later. I hope they inspire you to go take a look at the site of The Smiths United, FUR, Telecollision, And Strangeways Radio. Go find a date for a show all three bands are worth cheeking out. I know I will be seeing more of all three bands see you there.

See The D

This is a photo of mine of Detroit most people from the area will know where I was when I was taking this photo. Originally this was a section of a much larger photo I was working on. I had trouble with the water in the final photo so I decided to keep this section for now. Still working on the rest of the photo now that the water front has changed from the time this photo was created.

Peace

The Peace monument in Washington D.C. is to commemorate the Naval deaths at sea during the Civil War. The  sculpture of the monument was Franklin Simmons (1839-1913).

Peace

My feelings behind this Photo of mine is the future is so wide open but we sit in the past looking and doing whats right for me, my party, my group. If we don’t start doing whats right for us all as a whole we will be stuck between the wide open future and the me, my, mine past with are heads down weeping about where we went wrong.

Detroit Zoo WAITING

The Detroit Zoo is a great place just to get away and enjoy the sites of animals you don’t see every day unless you decide to get yourself a annual membership. It is always great to support the local sites and buy annual memberships to places like the Zoo, Museums, History, art, parks, aquariums, Science Centers and other great places that you don’t want to see disappear. Its not about you and how much you will use the membership its about future generations being able to keep going. Take the time to see whats in your area get out and go they are all waiting for you to join.

Window Abstract

Next time you go to a city area take a look up and take your time and let your imagination go. Once again I was walking though the streets of Downtown Detroit, MI when I came across this sight. I just find it intrusting how the reflections in the glass of these buildings can be so abstract.

This photo of mine never seen Photoshop some basic adjustments in Lightroom. Most work I do now a days only see Lightroom. I find that what people consider to be flaws or imperfections are and can be beautiful just the way they are.
